Diversity and developing an inclusive team culture at PS+C Group.Diversity is a bold word and we take it in our stride within our talent attraction to ensure we consider race, ethnicity and gender.

Building a great team culture is paramount in the success of any business and culture is constructed from the top down. We have developed our company brand to reflect our culture and benefits to help attract and retain talent.

Our leadership team encourage employees to contribute their ideas and enhance their professional development. We support this at PS+C with individual training allocations and an open-door policy with management. We offer flexible working arrangements for employees with caring responsibilities and the option to work remotely. Small initiatives and flexibility go a long way and are appreciated. Employees leave managers not companies, so we ensure we have an open-door policy and have daily stand-ups to collaborate, share challenges and wins to assist in supporting team motivation as well as project delivery.

To promote diversity in the workplace, employers can:

  • Ensure the interview panel is diverse
  • Reflect on the job advertisements you are posting and ensure the language is appealing to the audience you wish to attract
  • Celebrate important events for various cultures
  • Align with organisation promoting workplace diversity and encouraging employee to attend these events.
  • Reconsider the job brief (searching for a unicorn) and focus on the individual you are wanting to attract, develop and retain

We have hosted meetups in the past and are looking to host a Women in IT Security event in late November … stay tuned
